Times Higher Education Survey - Some United Kingdom Universities Accept “Lower than Recommended” English LevelsA Times Higher Education survey suggests many universities in the United Kingdom allow students from outside the European Union to enter undergraduate programs with “lower than recommended” levels of English. While IELTS suggests degree course students need at least IELTS 6.5, 58 of the 88 universities in the survey accept IELTS 6.0 as a "standard minimum".
